Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Lead Manufacturing Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is primarily hands-on and involves the fabrication of greenhouse components using steel tubing and aluminum. The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
This position may also include assisting with leadership or supervisory responsibilities as needed, making it an excellent opportunity for a skilled manufacturing professional interested in growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Production Supervisor with daily manufacturing setup and workflow coordination
- Manufacture greenhouse components by bending, punching, cutting, and drilling steel tubing and aluminum according to engineering drawings and blueprints
- Read and interpret engineering documents, specifications, and measurements accurately
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely
- Perform inventory counts, track materials, and maintain accurate inventory records
- Organize materials and finished goods for efficient retrieval and shipment
- Document damaged materials and report discrepancies
- Collaborate with other departments to support production schedules and on-time delivery
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing facility
- Support training or oversight of other production employees as assigned
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous manufacturing experience required
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and instructions
- Forklift operation experience preferred (or willingness to become certified)
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to continuously lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and work with precise measurements
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and quality-focused mindset
Preferred
- Experience in metal fabrication or structural manufacturing
- Prior leadership, lead-person, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Welding certification desired, but not required
Background check and drug test required

Pay is negotiable and is based on experience and the ability to excel in the position
