Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented Production and Shipping Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes. Pay is negotiable and is based on experience and the ability to excel in the position.
Duties
- Assist Production Supervisor with daily manufacturing set ups and manufacturing greenhouse parts
- Fabricate greenhouse parts by bending, punching, cutting and drilling steel tubing and aluminum according Engineering blueprints
- Packaging and labeling items according to company standards, ensuring shipping documents are accurate, and scheduling pickups and deliveries with carriers
- Prepare items for shipping, including packing, labeling, and organizing for distribution
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move stock within the warehouse
- Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Organize inventory for easy retrieval, tracking inventory, and documenting damages
- Communicate with customers about shipment status and delivery updates, and collaborate with logistics, customer service and sales
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products
- Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain a neat and organized plant
- Other jobs and duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role strongly preferred
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure required
- Technical aptitude required
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to continuously lift 50 lbs. required
Background check and drug test required
